Us
MIRAI is a startup (“startup innovativa” in Italian) founded in 2024 as a spinoff of the University of Milan, with competencies at the intersection of formal logic, ethics of AI, theoretical and applied computer science. The founding idea was straightforward: the formal methods developed in academic research on logic, mathematics, and AI verification are powerful tools, but they rarely reach the organizations that need them most. MIRAI exists to close that gap, bringing rigorous, research-grounded methods to the auditing of real AI systems in production.
The Italian Ministry of Research funds the project BRIO (BIAS, RISK and Opacity in AI) with G. Primiero from the University of Milan taking the lead as Principal Investigator.
MIRAI is founded as a University of Milan spinoff
in collaboration with Wazabit.
MIRAI participates in the SEED4INNOVATION Mentorship Programme of the University of Milan.
